Old Jackson Christmas by Candlelight Tours will include the Welty House on its December 6 venue. From 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., guests may tour the first floor of the House and view Welty’s holiday photographs and a selection of greeting cards from President and Mrs. Bill Clinton, author Kathryn Anne Porter, poet laureate William Jay Smith, and more.
Next door at the Welty Education And Visitors Center they may enjoy Eudora’s “white fruitcake” (made by Welty House volunteers) and hot cider while listening to classical, jazz and Brazilian music performed by guitarist Leonnardo Moreira and cellist Marcelo Vieira.
