The Eudora Welty House and Garden are shown by guided tour only. Allow a minimum of one hour to visit the home and garden. Tours are offered Tuesday through Friday and Saturday afternoons, and hours are subject to change.
Please check in at the Education and Visitors Center next door to the Welty House, at 1109 Pinehurst Street, before beginning your tour. Here you will be invited to see an orientation film, view exhibits, and visit the museum shop. Welty docents will direct you through the house and provide information about Welty and her home as you walk from room to room.
Tuesday – Friday
Education and Visitors Center open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tours: 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.
Saturday Education and Visitors Center open 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tours: 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Reservations are recommended for tours.

Directions to the Welty House
1119 Pinehurst Street, Jackson, Mississippi
From I-55, take the Fortification Street exit (96C).
Travel west on Fortification, turning right at the first stop light on Greymont Street.
Travel north, turning left on Pinehurst Street at the second four-way stop.
The Eudora Welty House is in the second block on the left.
If traveling by bus or large van, contact the Welty House prior to your visit for bus and van parking information.
