The Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH) has received applications for the 2014 Eudora Welty Research Fellowship, and an announcement of the fellowship recipient will be made soon. The fellowship encourages and supports research use of the Eudora Welty Collection and related materials at MDAH by graduate students.

This competitive fellowship of $2,000, sponsored by the Eudora Welty Foundation, will be offered for research conducted in summer 2014. The stipend may be used to cover travel, housing, and other expenses during the fellow’s two-week stay in Jackson, Mississippi.
