Paige Mizell, noted camellia expert, will offer a special tour of the Eudora Welty Garden focused on camellias on Thursday, February 24, from 11:30 a.m. until noon. The camellia walk-through is free and open to the public; no registration is necessary.
Following the tour, Mizell will offer heirloom camellias from her family nursery, Mizell Camellia Hill Nursery in Folsom, Louisiana, for purchase. The sale will last until all the plants are sold or 4 p.m., whichever comes first. A portion of the sales will benefit the Eudora Welty Foundation.
If you miss this sale, more of Mizell’s heirloom camellias will be available for sale at the annual Welty Plant Sale on Saturday, March 26, beginning at 9 a.m.
