Offered statewide, thanks to generous continuing support from the C Spire Foundation, the Scholastic Writing Awards Program attracted several new Mississippi schools this year.
Winners and their families will be invited to attend a lunch at Millsaps College prior to the ceremony. Tours of the Welty House and Garden will be offered from 1:00-1:45 p.m., and a reception will be held in the Welty Garden before and after the ceremony.
