Authors Sarah M. Broom, Kiese Laymon To Discuss Award-winning Memoirs February 25 at Millsaps
On Tuesday, February 25, an evening of literary excellence is in store when Sarah M. Broom, National Book Award winning author of The Yellow House, will discuss her memoir with Kiese Laymon, Ottilie Schillig Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Mississippi and author of his award-winning memoir, Heavy. The Yellow House has also received the 2019 John Leonard Award for Best First Book.
The conversation will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Gertrude C. Ford Center at Millsaps College.
The reading will be followed by a book signing and reception with books of both authors available for purchase by Lemuria Books. Sponsored by the Millsaps Visiting Writers Series; the Eudora Welty Foundation; the Millsaps Center for Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation; and the Center for Art and Public Exchange at the Mississippi Museum of Art.
