A special free program on how home gardeners can select plants that best benefit wildlife in their yards will be held Thursday, November 4, at the Eudora Welty House and Garden from 12-1:30 p.m.

Bob Brzuszek, Extension Professor of Landscape Architecture at Mississippi State University, will direct the event. Participants are invited to bring their own picnic lunches.

This is a lovely time to visit the Welty Garden. You can also take an audio tour of the Garden by scanning the QR Code with your cellphone camera found on signage throughout the property. Tours of the Garden and the Education and Visitors Center are free and self-guided. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 12:30-4 p.m. Saturday.

Thanks to Jessica Russell, Garden Projects Specialist at the Eudora Welty House and Garden, for the beautiful Monarch butterfly photo.
